Derek Gillette, was honored this past February at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas at the 2008 RE/MAX International Convention. The co-founder, Dave Liniger presented our local realtor, Derek Gillette, with the 
highest annual award that RE/MAX holds, ‘Diamond Club’. This award was only received by 260 Realtors out of 100,000+ real estate agents in RE/MAX International and the first in Nanaimo.

Also, this year Team Gillette was awarded the #38th Team in the World for RE/MAX International in over 65 countries. This achievement is considerably remarkable due to the fact that Team Gillette competes on sales volume in a much smaller city compared to agents and teams in areas like New York, Toronto and other large cities, consisting of more than 100,000 RE/MAX agents globally.

RE/MAX Western Canada has awarded Team Gillette with the presitigous honor of the "Best Real Estate Website Award for 2007". Team Gillette received the recognition at the RE/MAX Western Canada Conference this year.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Derek Gillette, was the first Nanaimo Realtor to be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for helping over 1000 families. This award was presented to Derek Gillette in March 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada by the Co-Founder and Chairman of RE/MAX International, Dave Liniger. Only 210 individuals among the 78,000+ RE/MAX membership were honoured with this award at this International Convention in Las Vegas, NV. As the recipient of the award, one has risen "Above the Crowd" by helping over 1,000 families meet their real estate needs during their RE/MAX career. This outstanding accomplishment - earned through knowledge, experience and giving total quality service to their customers, is exceptional in this real estate industry.
Business Excellence Award
Derek Gillette, was awarded the Top Real Estate Business of Year. The 4th Annual Vancouver Island Business Excellence Awards, an event hosted at the Crown Isle Resort, in Courtenay in January 2004. Derek Gillette was a top three finalist, and ultimate winner, for his respective category amongst over a total 25,000 Vancouver Island Businesses.
