The District of Lantzville is a small bedroom community located on the northern border of Nanaimo that is broken down by Lower and Upper Lantzville. Considered to be more ‘rural’ than city, the district is almost completely residential and lot sizes here tend to be larger and more spacious than lots in Nanaimo. Upper Lantzville offers lovely views of the Winchelsea Islands as well as the area’s newest development in progress, ‘The Foothills’; an 1838 acre, master-planned neighbourhood, currently zoned for 730 homes, a mixed-use village area, and a 900-acre park. Nanaimo’s North End with all its amenities is also only a few minutes away.
